Tour overview

1st day: Marrakech

Arrive at the airport in Marrakech. Transfer to the hotel. We will have dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

2nd day: Oukaimeden – Ouaneskra

After having breakfast in the hotel, we will go to Oukaimeden (2600m), the most famous ski station in the North of Africa, by van. This is where our expedition starts. The whole team (guide, mules, mule herdsmen and cook), will start the trekking. Departure towards the Eddi hill, where we will have the opportunity to have a look at the beautiful panoramic view of the Angour (3600m) and Akwai (2912m) tops. We will have lunch on the way. We will trek down to the beautiful town of Ouaneskra (2200m) and sleeping in tents. 4 to 5 hours walk.

3rd day: Ouaneskra – Imi Ourghlad

After having breakfast, we will continue through the Imanane valley passing through the towns of Tamgiset and Ikkis. We will go up to the Arg hill (1780m) to Imsker village where we will have lunch, and then go on our way to the valley of Aït Mizane in order to get to Imi-Ourghlad (1400m). We will spend the night in tents (guest house in case of bad weather). 5 to 6 hours walk.

4th day: Imi Oughlad – Tizi Oussem

After having breakfast we will start walking towards the Tizi N’Techt hill (2100m). Lunch is served on the way. In one hour and a half we will be in the village of Tiziane and carry on to arrive at the Tizi Oussem village (1800m). We will sleep in the tents. 5 hours walk

5th day: Tizi Oussem – Imlil

After having an early breakfast we will go up to the Tizi Mazik pass, walking through the forest of juniper trees and enjoying the view of the Plateau Tazararta (3800m). We will have lunch on the way, and then we will trek down to the Imlil Valley passing the fountain Aberdon (2200m). 5 to 6 hours walk.

6th day: Imlil- Refuge of Toubkal (3207m)

After having breakfast we will leave Imlil (1740 m) towards the refuge of Toubkal (3207 m), passing by Aremd and the Muslim shrine Sidi Chamharouch (2280m) where we will have Lunch. Following the river we will trek up to the refugee of Toubkal (3207m). We will have dinner and overnight in the tents. There is also the option of having dinner and sleeping in the refugee in case of bad weather or the customers want to.

7th day: Toubkal – Imlil

After having breakfast we will go up to the highest peak in North Africa Toubkal Mountain (4167m). The latter will let you to have a panoramic view of the valleys of Tifnout, Imlil and Oukaimden ski station. Few minutes later we will start trekking down to have lunch in the tents and then go on our way to Imlil town. We will have dinner and in local houses. 8 to 10 hours walk.

8th day: Imlil- Marrakech

In this day we will have enough time to discover and explore Marrakech city and its touristy sites such as Jamaa Elfena square, palaces, cemeteries, streets, and markets.
