Tour overview

The trip to Toubkal is a bit demanding and tiring, one should leave Marrakech early, and it is advisable to spend the night in Imlil (1720m) or Mazik. So as to be ready for a 2 days towards Toubkal Refuge (3207m), and Toubkal summit 4167m. this climb of 2500m obviously requires reasonable fitness, but is not difficult. Over Night in the Refuge.

Day 1 : Imlil - Toubkal Refuge

The first destination from Imlil is an uphill climb to Sidi Chamarouch, a Muslim shrine frequented by pilgrims, where we have a stop. Then we continue up to the Toubkal Refuge, with the highest peak in North Africa of Toubkal above us.

day 2 : Toubkal refuge - Toubkal summit - Imlil

An early morning start to head the way up to North Africa’s Highest peak, Toubkal 4167m above the sea level. A short break in the Roof of Morocco to enjoy the nice views toward Sahara desert and The City of Marrakech, before going going down hill to imlil. ( 9 to 10 hours walk )
