9 Days imprial cities

Embark on a captivating journey through Morocco’s imperial past and vibrant present, exploring its legendary cities, mountain passes, and desert landscapes, experiencing and witnessing all aspects of nature (mountains, desert, seas…) in just one week in Morocco.

 

Day 1: Casablanca

 Arrival in Morocco’s economic capital. Depending on your schedule, visit the monumental Hassan II Mosque, the historic Sqala, and the charming Habous district before resting overnight.

Day 2: Rabat, Meknes & Volubilis

 Travel to Rabat, the Atlantic capital, with visits to the Royal Palace, Oudaya Kasbah, and Hassan Tower. Continue to Meknes, once the capital under Moulay Ismail, famed for its grand gates and ramparts. End the day at Volubilis, a UNESCO-listed Roman city with remarkable ruins, before reaching Fez.

Day 3: Fez

Guided exploration of the medieval medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. Wander through spice markets, artisan workshops, and visit landmarks such as the King’s Palace, tanneries, and potters’ quarters.

Day 4: Ifrane & Ouzoud Waterfalls

 Scenic drive through the Middle Atlas, pausing in the alpine-style town of Ifrane. Relax at the Ouzoud Waterfalls, Morocco’s most famous cascades, before continuing to Marrakech.

Day 5: Marrakech

Discover the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jemaa El Fna square. Afternoon visits include the Majorelle Gardens and Menara Garden, blending vibrant artistry with serene landscapes.

Day 6: Ait Benhaddou & Dades Valley

Cross the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass to reach Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage kasbah once vital for caravan trade. Continue to the dramatic Dades Valley.

Day 7: Tinghir & Merzouga

Visit the towering Todra Gorge before heading to Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara. Ride camels across golden dunes, witness a breathtaking sunset, and spend the night under desert stars in a nomadic camp.

Day 8: Ouarzazate & Return to Marrakech

Sunrise in the desert, then journey back via Agdez and Ouarzazate. Visit Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios before crossing the High Atlas once more to Marrakech.

Day 9: Departure

Free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Marrakech before transfer to the airport.
